A warm welcome from your home, away from home.

About us

Adoptions4Ever is a non-profit organisation that provides a safe haven for adoption-minded women experiencing a crisis pregnancy. We provide a service both to the biological mother and to the adoptive parents.

How we started

Beatrice Pringle, the founder and director of Adoptions4Ever, personally experienced the adoption process. Through this experience she recognised the need for an organisation that really cares about the biological mother, the baby and the adoptive parents and the integral effect the adoption triangle has on the baby’s development and future. In November 2008 she opened Adoptions4ever in Phalaborwa to meet this need.

What we do

Adoptions4Ever supports a mother home, Huis Talitha in Phalaborwa, which provides a ‘home away from home’ for pregnant women from all over South Africa who are facing a crisis pregnancy and are considering adoption. Under the guidance, care and supervision of our house parents, Jacques and Lisa Aucamp, these women are able to interact as a family.

At Adoptions4Ever we believe the adoption process should be as positive as possible for the biological mother, the baby and the adoptive parents.

To fulfil this aim, we endeavour to:

  • Provide a safe place for the pregnant mother
  • Provide physical, emotional and spiritual care for the pregnant mother
  • Provide good quality medical care for the pregnant mother
  • Provide life skills to the pregnant mother through counselling, empowering her to take her life forward with confidence
  • Provide the pregnant mother with skills training and a job creation programme tailored to her abilities, needs and interests
  • Provide the pregnant mother with information, empowering her to make informed decisions about her pregnancy
  • Provide a professional open-adoption service
At Huis Talitha the biological mother is given the opportunity to be involved in the process of choosing and meeting with the adoptive parents. This allows the biological mother the peace of mind of knowing where her baby will be placed. Similarly, adoptive parents are encouraged to make contact with the biological mother during her pregnancy, allowing the bonding process to begin between the adoption parents and the baby in the womb, a very important step towards the success of the adoption process.
